Where to Eat at North Perry

Student Tips

Flying makes me hungry. Well, to be honest. Flying makes pilots hungry. Naturally you want to eat good food after your flight! This article is for our future and current students that need some help knowing where to get some lunch or dinner.

Bolay

I have to admit it’s hard to find a place that makes delicious, healthy food. So, I was really happy when I found Bolay. This is the food I eat the most here. It’s good, gives me energy, is affordable and it’s pretty close to the school. Everything I need to study hard and get those ratings! From chicken, fish, steak, quinoa, rice or sweet potatoes. They have it at Bolay.

Burger-Fi

I’m an American, which makes me love burgers. Well, even if I wasn’t an American I would still love burgers. Besides flying eating burgers is another one of my passions. When I first found Burger-Fi I was very excited, especially when their burgers more than lived up to my expectations. Try the CEO burger. It’s worth it. Especially after some studying or flying! You can thank me later in the comments.

Pollo Tropical

Who doesn’t like chicken and fries? I do, I love it actually. Especially after a long flight. This is a great place to get some food to go, or just sit at a table. Get the ½ chicken special! One of the favorite lunch meals of some of our Latin American instructors here.

Dutch pot

I also grew up in the Caribbean, and i’m even a bit Dutch, one of the reasons I love Caribbean food. If you never tried Caribbean food you definitely should. Why not try Dutch Pot? They have a special for $5.25. You get a whole lunch with complimentary plantains! In one word; delicious!

Golden Krust

When I feel like eating my Grandma’s homemade style food, I usually go to Golden Krust. It’s the closest thing to ‘soul-food’ around our airport. And well, sometimes a pilot just needs some soul after a long flight! They even have different types of patties if you are not that hungry. A patty is great for taking with you on a cross-country, too.

La Carreta

“So who wants to go get a coffee?” Is a question a lot of instructors ask before they go flying. Usually somebody goes and gets an excellent espresso, cafecito, or café con leche at La Caretta. You know it’s good coffee because it’s a Cuban place! Besides that, they also have a lot of Cuban sandwiches. I think I know what i’m eating after my flight later!

La Granja

Feel like eating some chicken and fries? But not in the mood for caribbean flavours? A lot of our students, staff and instructors go to get their lunch or dinner at La Granja. We have a lot of students from Peru here at our school, and it’s a Peruvian restaurant. But trust me when I say; this hits the spot after some studying or flying. If you haven’t heard about La Granja be sure to check it out.
