6. Russian Official Suggests Pilots Should Learn To Repair Aircraft
According to Oleg Bocharov, deputy minister of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, pilots should learn not only how to fly planes but also how to repair them and act as mechanics. Bocharov made these statements during the Eastern Economic Forum, adding that Russian pilots should be “universal soldiers.”
While major airlines and commercial pilots themselves have signaled a growing pilot shortage could greatly impact the aviation industry in coming years, one Texas high school is offering a solution. Rising Aviation High located in Addison, Texas, was founded just two years ago with the unique goal of focusing its curriculum on aviation training while also teaching core classes like reading, writing, math and science.
8. The Worldwide Flight Simulator Industry is Projected to Reach $10.3 Billion by 2027
