Multi-Engine

A Multi-Engine Land (MEL) rating allows a pilot to operate as pilot-in-command of an aircraft with more than one engine. Having more than one power plant enables you to fly higher, farther, and generally bigger and more capable aircraft. Multiple engine rating is also a necessary step for any professional pilot on the road to the airlines. This rating gives you the knowledge necessary to safely and effectively control a multiple engine aircraft with retractable gear.

Wayman Academy owns a fleet of Piper Seneca aircraft, a powerful twin-engine aircraft, boasting several prominent differences compared to its piston-twin competitors each equipped with a Garmin 430 GPS. See our Resources section for a complete Pilots Operating Handbook for the Piper Seneca to become familiar.
