Ft Lauderdale, FL – Wayman Aviation Academy is honored to welcome ExpressJet as its new airline partner. The regional airline flies to over 100 airports in North America as a regional carrier for United Airlines. It is headquartered in Atlanta, Ga. ExpressJet has bases in Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Knoxville and Newark.
“We are very proud to welcome our sixth airline partner. With the looming pilot shortage Wayman graduates will have a full selection of great hiring companies to choose from,” said Wayman Eddy Luy, Vice President of Business Development and Administration.
Several Designated Pilot Examiners (DPE) that work with the flight academy are career commercial pilots with United. The professionalism, experience, and attitude of a United Captain is what students graduating from the Academy are training to be.
ExpressJet’s Airline Pilot Pathway Program (AP3) is designed to give students a highly structured path through school, building hours as a CFI, to a career at ExpressJet and beyond. In addition to an early interview and a guaranteed job after program completion, students are assigned a mentor, an ExpressJet EPIC Ambassador who is a current pilot that can help answer questions, offer advice and be a resource for the student throughout training. We partner with top colleges, universities and flight schools to develop a customized program aimed at developing the highest quality pilots.
